Nick joined the BLUE team shortly after moving to the U.K. from sunny South Africa. On his entrance to the working world, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start a small promotional agency whilst studying, offering various marketing services and short-term staffing solutions to the likes of brand specialists and Woolworths South Africa.
Beginning his career in PR, he worked with Tsogo Sun, Africa’s largest hospitality and entertainment group, as well as food and lifestyle brands such as Peppadew International.
Expanding his horizons, he then went on to work for the South African representative office for the Tourism Authority of Thailand, collaborating with the travel trade to ensure a steady increase of tourists to the Asian country from Southern Africa. Through this position he honed his media relations and copywriting skills (gaining a substantial amount of travel experience through the process.)
Dealing with governmental organisations put Nick in good stead to service BLUE’s base of international clients. He now works on a range of accounts including the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry, Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF), and Ardmore Shipping Corporation, amongst others.
