Following a highly successful Shipping and Maritime Working Track at the Carbon War Room’s recent Creating Climate Wealth event in Berlin, led by BLUE’s Managing Director Alisdair Pettigrew and Research Executive Catherine McMillan, Carbon War Room has released a video that explains its latest work to influence the shipping industry to reduce carbon profitably.
The video focuses around charterers’ use of the “beta” efficiency labelling system hosted on ShippingEfficiency.org and the next stage of CWR’s work in the shipping industry – a financing model for retrofitting efficiency technology to vessels.
An animated overview of ShippingEfficiency.org’s rating system is already the most viewed video on CWR’s YouTube Channel and this update on how the site is making a difference is already well on its way to reaching an even larger audience.
BLUE is in its third year of working with the Carbon War Room and, as a consultant, Alisdair is responsible for its Shipping Operation alongside the Carbon War Room’s Chief Operating Officer, Peter Boyd,.which has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2009. BLUE also provides PR support across the Carbon War Room’s Shipping Operation.
