FloatWind has chosen BLUE Engage to head up its communications strategy. A leader in lean manufacturing solutions for the offshore wind sector, the company is revolutionising how green renewable energy is deployed globally.
Through our strategic communications activities, BLUE will position the FloatWind brand within the burgeoning offshore renewables sector, raising awareness of the prime investment opportunity currently on offer by the firm.
With a focus on innovation, and redefining the process of green renewable energy deployment, the company aims to shift the sector away from batch production, to unlock considerable savings in assembly processes and significantly reduce construction schedules.
FloatWind champions and facilitates a renewed approach, encouraging the industry to move away from fixed foundation offshore wind turbines. Its Ready-to-Float turbines represent the future – standardised ready-to-float structures that combine proven wind turbines and commercially-ready floating platforms. With this approach, FloatWind aims to accelerate the achievement of net-zero targets by standardising and automating current assembly processes: lowering the cost of energy and enabling a faster transition away from fossil fuel energy sources. In turn, this reduces the amount consumers pay for energy.
BLUE will work directly with the two co-founders of FloatWind – Nele Andersch, CBDO, and Robert Speht, CEO – to raise awareness of the disruptive progress it’s making in revolutionising the offshore wind market, underlining the commercial rationale for standardisation and mass assembly in the manufacture of floating, rather than fixed, structures.
BLUE remains entirely focused on business, brand and communications consultancy for the marine and energy sectors. Account wins such as this one increases BLUE’s work within the renewables space.
As an example, we welcomed Houlder into the BLUE fold last year. The UK-based design and engineering consultancy serves clients across the marine and energy space, with a particular focus on offshore wind.
Commenting on the FloatWind appointment, BLUE Director Amie Pascoe said: “Decarbonisation drivers continue to deliver wholescale change to the marine and energy markets. As the world moves towards a cleaner, carbon-conscious future, the power of communications is becoming increasingly recognised, enabling us to put our expertise to good use. We remain committed to our vision of empowering clients to transform the future of marine and energy, and as the renewables market expands, we expect to see continuing growth in this area. We’re excited about it too – we’re passionate about these industries and the potential they have to facilitate the transition towards net zero.”
