World-leading emissions monitoring company Kittiwake Procal has chosen BLUE to provide full communications support for the ongoing rollout of its cutting-edge emissions analysis solutions.

Kittiwake Procal was acquired by the Kittiwake group in December 2010 and is a specialist in continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) for a wide range of challenging industrial environments, spanning power generation, incineration, refineries, paper and pulp, steel, nitric acid, fertilisers, cement, marine and offshore. It measures a range of emissions accurately and reliably, including NO, NO2, SO2, CO2 and H20, using in-situ analysers. This contrasts dramatically with the high maintenance requirements of extractive emissions monitoring systems.

Chris Daw, Managing Director of Kittiwake Procal, commented: “The Procal business is 25 years old in December and our new alliance with Kittiwake provides a solid platform for growth going forward. Our new, bolstered infrastructure provides the scope to capitalise upon increasing market opportunities, and we remain committed to an ambitious development programme, which will result in a range of advanced CEMS to meet future market and legislative demands worldwide.”

Alisdair Pettigrew, Managing Director of BLUE, said: “The proliferation of global and environmental legislation is driving the need for far higher standards of emissions monitoring, but there are also significant commercial benefits to be gained from real time emissions data, which can drive up operational efficiencies and save money. BLUE is looking forward to helping Kittiwake Procal to get its message out to its prospective customers around the globe and across all of its market sectors.”
